
Lori Porter
Lori is the Vocal Music teacher of the CAPA program. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Music Education from Eastern Michigan University and a Master's Degree in Education from Marygrove College. Lori is a skilled vocalist and pianist. She frequently performs in the area as a soloist and an accompanist. Her previous experience includes: elementary general music teacher in the Battle Creek and Flint area; guest pianist/accompanist at Castaldi’s Restaurant in Dearborn; district and state vocal and instrumental accompanist and coach for Michigan Solo & Ensemble Festival; choral accompanist for Plymouth Canton High School; Music Director of First Baptist Church of Mt. Morris and Grand River Baptist Church; and private lesson instructor in piano and voice for over 10 years. Lori has served as music director as well as orchestra conductor for many musicals, and was named in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers in 2004.
