
Gail Susan Mack
Ms. Mack has been
the Director of the Creative and Performing Arts Magnet Program, of Livonia
Public Schools from 1998 to present day. Here she supervises a staff and program
of 250 selected students in areas of Voice, Theatre, and Dance. She maintains a
parent support group, works with the administration, sets performance seasons,
communicates with the public, sponsors Arts Camps, schedules her students in an
intensive arts curriculum, teaches and directs.
Ms. Mack has been a teacher for CAPA since
1986. Here she directs three shows a year (musicals, dramas,
comedies, Shakespeare) and produces the same. She designs lights, sets and
costumes. She has taught Acting, Advanced Acting, Stagecraft, Acting and
Production 1 & 2, Film Studies, History of the Arts, Humanities, Voice, Directing
and Filmmaking. She coaches an improv company and has managed a professional
mime company.
In addition , Ms Mack is a free-lance director, actor,
and designer. She has acted on stage, in film, commercials and
industrials. She has directed numerous shows for local companies: Heartlande
Theatre Co., The Theatre Guild, Stagecrafters, and Wayne Summer Theatre.
