Minutes of the PROCAPA Board Meeting with the Thespian Board

Present at the meeting were the PROCAPA Board, Ms. Porter, Mr. Bergsman, 3 of the Thespian Board members and 8 PROCAPA Members.

 

Introductions were made.

 

Treasurer’s Report- the PROCAPA Fund balance is $8486.26.

Secretary’s Report-

·  Minutes and Treasurer’s Reports will be posted on CAPA website from now on.

·  Secretary will send personal invites to shows to the School Board, individually.

 

Discussed District Fine Arts/Tech Millage-

District visited on Nov 4, 2011 to check conditions of CAPA and Churchill fine arts rooms for millage they will be proposing to update fine arts and technology throughout the district. Black Box was shut down, cleared, sorted and cleaned. Hope to get it up and running by 2nd semester.

 

Bylaws-

Bylaws were assessed and restructured at a special meeting by members of the Board and Executive Committee. Changes were made to reflect concern about disbandment of CAPA and where the monies would go in that case. We also found out we had lost our tax free status. Mary Bagazinski has been working hard to get this back by the end of the year. Other changes can be viewed in the online bylaws.

 

Committee Reports-

·  Awards Banquet-Terry Brennan & Connie Bourlier –Starting on their planning.

·  Arts Camp-Wendy Kwitkowski- 4th through 8th grade, mass email with more info to come.

·  Backstage Monitoring-Gisele Walsh-Will need lots of volunteers for Footloose.

·  CAPA Apparel-Kathleen Falkowski-Another order will be placed after Footloose and before summer.

·  Concessions-Shirley Totten- Coke contract has not been renewed so we are not required to purchase Coke products.

·  Costuming-Connie Bourlier-Need help to clean out and organize costumes ASAP!

·  Flower Sales-Sandy Dixon

·  Photography-Michael Casella

·  Photo Sales-Sandy Dixon

·  Publicity-Dawn Casella- Mr. MacDonald paid to print posters for Footloose

·  Rehearsal Food-Angie Giraud- 67 kids in Footloose and a ½ pit, will need to feed about 90 per meal

·  Show Programs-Matt Zmud

·  Set Construction-Tim Walsh- Meeting on Jan 3 with Set Designer at Churchill 7-8pm

·  Ticket Sales-Matt Zmud

·  Videography-Michael Casella

·  Webmaster-Rose Ermete

Thespian Board-

            Pool Party December 22, 2011 7-9pm.

           $5 CAPA students, $7 guest, pizza provided, kids bring finger food and pop, will need lifeguards.

 

Holiday Spectacular:

·  Saturday December 17, 2011 at 7pm

·  Angie making Cocoa, attendees bring cookies

 

 

New Business:

·  Rolf Bergsman-Fund Raising ideas: Biggby’s Coffee fundraiser and Band show organized by Jeff Downs-Membership was positive on both ideas

·  Rolf Bergsman-Possible Field Trip to Stratford, Ontario for Festival.
